Japan has kept giant pandas safer, healthier, and thriving for decades. Pulling them out now doesn’t protect the species

Returning the pandas won’t change Beijing’s plans toward Japan or Taiwan, either. Those decisions are already made. So, the real question is whether or not conservation is allowed to stand above China’s coercion.
Keeping the pandas in Japan, and every other country; protects the animals, preserves genetic resilience, and denies their use as political hostages. Especially, while the PRC has in recent weeks made threats to multiple countries, including Japan.
Keeping the Pandas in the country being threatened protects both, yes?
