From the article
„Ottawa, the report read, was so dysfunctional that Mexican diplomats had a hard time even securing basic data.“
“Mexican companies have approached the Embassy to inquire about establishing their business in Canada including in sectors as diverse as construction, finance services, food processing and real estate, et cetera,” read the report submitted earlier this month to the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee.
“Nevertheless, many of them have expressed concern about excessive requirements, cost or red tape.”

A country that has doesn’t come close to having its own affairs in order shouldn’t talk. The rule of law doesn’t even exist in Mexico.

There is a lot of red tape to deal with in Canada. I know first hand, it’s bad… But also, glass houses, Mexico… There is a fine line some where in the middle. We want environmental beauty, but we also want wealth…

Wow, some of you come off embarrassingly insecure.
Take a look where most mobile Canadians are fleeing; Mexico.
Instead you childishly lash out with cartel comments.
Anyone who has operated a business in Canada, myself included, understands the administrative burden here is insane.
It’s not only a kill joy, but a real economic impediment.
Some of you really need to open your minds.

One of the big problems with Canada is we devolve too much power to the provinces, which give us 10 little fiefdoms doing their own thing.

Mexico is only echoing the same sentiments that other countries have expressed with respect to Canada. Canada has become an extremely hostile place to do business in and with.
So many big name businesses have left the country in recent years (e.g. Kleenex, Nordstrom, Lean Cuisine). Even start up businesses fail to get off the ground. This is all due to protectionist policies, overregulation, excessive red tape and bureaucracy.

Now seriously to hear that from Mexico is really ridiculous. Besides that, what kind of investments can Mexico do in Canada?
