USA isn’t an ally, and we need to stop having articles assuming they are, or assuming they share our values.

USA has been taken over by the far right and conservative Christians and their ideal society is much closer to Russia than to any Western European country.

Their foreign policy in Europe is starting to reflect that: thuggery, blackmail and might is right instead of diplomacy, international law and human rights.

Same tired responses every time. This thread is repeated multiple times on this sub a day.

An article stressing a lot of flaws in Trump’s „peace,“ plan, clearly stating the absolute favouritism towards Russia.

      To quote the journalist’s words

      >Putin’s talking points have become Trump’s

Both Russian and US peace plans are a theatre. Putin would not stop the war.

Its high time to start moving in European presence in Ukraine, if UA wants that. They could do so much to help without being on front lines.

Shouldn’t the headline read *“Trump’s“ „peace plan“ for Ukraine is wicked*?

FYI Radio Free Europe governor, a known US subsidiary, the guy is just afraid that he is gonna lose his job.

      > estimated 300-400 of its sons and daughters in the trenches every week

      Russians don’t?

      >Although a cliché, ‘getting away with murder’ points to immorality as causality: almost invariably, aggressors and mass murderers become more aggressive and bloodthirsty when their assaults are not sanctioned: Hitler after swallowing Czechoslovakia, Bashar al Assad after poisoning hundreds with Sarin, Saddam Hussein’s after a genocidal war on the Kurds.

Easy to say that war should continue and both sides butcher each other when you have found people willing to die for your political / monetary gains.

      > His obvious next targets are Estonia and Latvia, still inadequately protected Nato members on Russia’s border.

Or they can just give 100,000s stateless Russians living in those territories unconditional citizenship. Its just bureaucratic paper, not hard to give.

With every step they have shown to not care at the very least, and hostile at worst, and we still show surprise on every new thing. Are we going to remain this dumb on average?

Consider this: Satan and Trump may have a deal struck, where, all the people who go to hell, are under the control of Trump, and he doles out their punishment and pain. With his proclivity for retribution, he would make the perfect candidate for the job, and his right hand man, would be none other than Stephen Miller.

    9. The last paragraph is the most important part of this article. It’s both chilling, and also seems very likely the plan.

Absolutely wicked. Forcing Ukraine to cede territory and abandon NATO aspirations? That’s not peace, that’s appeasement on steroids. Trump might as well hand Putin a victory lap. How is this ‚America First‘ when it weakens our allies?

    11. There is no Trump peace plan. The current negotiations are about Russia telling their agent, Witkoff, what he should convince Trump of.

[Putin was the one that chose Witkoff](https://newsukraine.rbc.ua/news/putin-effectively-chose-witkoff-as-us-negotiator-1766281557.html). Witkoff doesn’t have US translators, US security service agents, or ambassadors with him during meetings with the Russians, per the request of Putin. This explains Trump’s heavily anti Ukraine turn in the recent months. Witkoff usually leaves out Rubio too, and he never briefs anyone of the meetings he has.

Witkoff also has a conflict of interest. His investment firm is about to go bankrupt, and reentering the Russian market could save him. So he has a personal interest aligned with major Russian points.

Currently, negotiations are about what the Trump Crime Family will get in exchange to help Russia capture Donbas without having to sacrifice 5 more years and an additional million people for it. Which makes sense, Putin would rather use those resources in the third invasion in Dnipro and Poltava.

    12. I want to ask this simple question to Putin:

      > **According to you, Putin, the whole reason Russia went into Ukraine was because there were Nazis there.**
      > **That’s why you didn’t call this a war. Have you found these Nazis?**
      > **If so: What reason do you, Putin, have to take over land in Ukraine to consider it peace?**

This is what ALL focus must be in a discussion with Putin.

There is no, absolutely no logical connection that Russia believes that Ukraine should be required to give land to Russia in order to have peace.

Because if Russia demands this, it is the same as Russia admitting that the only reason they entered Ukraine was precisely to take land, nothing else.

And then even Putin admits 100% that it was precisely war and land that he had as a reason (which of course everyone already knows) and not some imaginary Nazis.

Yes, there is footage of teh scale of the Ukrainian fortifications here:

      https://www.reddit.com/r/ukraine/comments/1prmy8d/this_how_the_kilometers_of_fortifications_look/

Europe should send the troops, equipment, and resources required to hold Russia back at these fortification, as well as building other fortifications both further back and further forwards.

At current rates, Russia looses like 1 millin men every three years, about the total US vietnam losses every 2 months, so this’ll hurt their economy enough.

    14. Huh, maybe EU should stop being playas trying to balance political opinion in their own countries and start helping Ukraine. Then they might have a card to play in negotiations. For now even Ukraine is pretty much admitting they will lose Donetsk in 1-2 years.

Want peace, show strength and talk to Russia from a position of strength not pussyfooting around with big words like reparations and Russian surrender. But no, all we want is to play games, to look good.
