    1. Is it me missing it or did the linked article fail to disclose what that reason was?

Edit: (The article seems to be a work in progress I guess)

    2. She’s a genocide denier. That’s all I need to hear to never believe anything this person says.

She has no credibility so who cares what her excuse after the fact is. She couldn’t even come up with anything good. „iT WAsnT reAdY“

    4. I think the excuse was that the White House didn’t have time to respond. Which would set a hell of a precent for an easy kill switch on any story found inconvenient.

CBS employs a Trump loyalist and overall human piece of shit as its journalistic head.

    6. It was for one reason, the segment would upset Trump. Another company lowers their standards because of Trump.

What I’ve been reading is that Bari Weiss said that the story needed more comment from the administration and gave her staff the number of Stephen Miller. One of the reporters whose emails were leaked, pretty much laid out that they had already asked several people in the administration for comment and none had responded.

So essentially, they’re handing a kill switch to the Trump administration by saying that editorially they will not publish articles that are critical of the administration without their comment.

Trump’s use of law suits and other forms of intimidation are having there intended effects: suppression of free speech.

As litigious as this administration is, you know the legal team at CBS went through this footage with a fine-tooth comb.

Well I am not sponsoring anything CBS these days until they remove her

“To me, our viewers come first, not a listing schedule or anything else,” Weiss added. “That is my North Star and I hope it’s the North Star of every person in this newsroom.”

As a viewer it looks like a politically motivated move and she looks weak because of it.

Politics is the one reason. Forget what reason she said that’s the actual reason. She’s in their fucking pocket, so she’s protecting them.

Yes, but the CBS boss is a vacuous Trump pawn. Who gives a shit what that feckless shrew has to say?

    14. So was it pulled or delayed? As an information agency they know the meaning of the words they are using. There is failure here no matter how you look at it. If the production was not delivered on time, then that is someone’s responsibility. If the show was delayed, and is still going to be released, then it was never pulled. What I see, is that most of us know who this show will piss off the most. Saying it is pulled makes him happy. Saying it is still comping at him, pisses him off. What choice would you make if you just have that person a $16 million bribe? BTW – It should have taken them 4 minutes to make a 10 second announcement, which would have prevented all of this. Since they didn’t, I have doubts about the leadership capacity in that company.

    15. There’s [an entire John Oliver episode devoted to Bari Weiss](https://youtu.be/gieTx_P6INQ?si=Q0Fr_M_HU_T7yGBn) and how she’s installed to drive a right wing agenda falsely framed as centrist/factual. This is exactly what he warned would happen – obfuscating and blocking stories that didn’t align with an attempted right-wing worldview under the guise of „better reporting.“

    16. We’re at the level of State run media in this soon to be dictatorship and people will still say oh no oh no oh no it’s not that. It’s fucking that.

    17. She’s lying. The story was pulled because it embarrasses trump and exposing his insane leadership.
