Sweden doesn’t have suburbia, just dense cities
Why are people always surprised that cities have a smaller footprint but larger population than mountains and forests
B.C. is sort of like that. Population of the province is ~5.7m, and the population of the greater metro area of Vancouver is ~2.6m.
most likely due to the bone chilling cold in the north
Only 11 million people and so much space, I am so jealous! (Netherlands, we have 18+ million and our country is ten times smaller)
I didn’t expect any of the cities in Norrland to be highlighted, definitely not Östersund which is significantly smaller than the other cities in Norrland.
Same for Canada.
Unbelievable, OP found out about Cities
I love how the red areas are random dots spread evenly over Sweden. The point here is that Swedens population is probably spread more than most countries.
Makes sense for a country crossed by the Arctic circle
Sweden is such a beautiful country, so many wonderful landscapes and forests!
It’s not about „popularity“, it’s where the jobs are.
