  1. While true China always does bad stuff too and cries when called out on anything

There are no international laws anymore. If China is so concerned about laws, then maybe they should first ask their friends in Russia to stop invading other countries.
Otherwise, I don’t support what the U.S. administration is doing, but China and Russia are not the ones who have any right to criticize other countries for violating international law.

The US administration doesn’t care about domestic law never mind international law

  4. One of the tankers just taken by the US was not on a sanction list it, was headed to China. China made a few loans for Venezuela oil. The US now says all of Venezuela oil is now under sanction not just ships on the US list.

  5. International maritime law remains critical. This situation highlights ongoing tensions between major powers navigating complex legal frameworks and geopolitical interests.

  6. Xi, putler, Trump – are 3 friends who are fighting in challenge of shit-heads.

The next time Trump’s garbage made in China (like his shit phones) are headed here, would be funny if someone seized that boat.  I’m sure he’d bitch about it for days.

China and Russia burned the concept of international law. Preaching it now is epitome of irony

I didn’t need some dickhead in China to tell me what I already know.

  10. China constantly threatening a military „unification“ with Taiwan.

China constantly overfishing areas they have no business fishing in, ruining the ecosystem of other asian countries.

China constantly bullying sea vessels of other nations themselves.

This IS NOT to say the US is doing something legal, but this coming from China is hypocrisy times 10.

  11. It’s not so black and white

Also one hell of a pot calling the kettle black lmao

  12. Wow! Coming from them who do not want and wont recognize the arbitral ruling in the West Philippine Sea dispute.

  13. PsychologicalLime120 on

Ohhh I see, China says. China can fuck off fishing all the waters to death that doesn’t belong to them before „China says“.

  14. JortsByControversial on

This is literally the US enforcing international maritime law. False flag vessels have no legal protections.

China are wrong. The US are just enforcing the completelt sanctions on Venezuala.

China are saying rhis because it gives them leverage to counter accusations about their own illegal maritime actions.

I can almost guarantee China will try something like this aimed at Taiwan some time in rhe future though.

  16. So cooperating with aggressor russia on development of new weapons is not serious violation, but this is? Dear China, you care about international law or don’t.

  17. Gosh, isn’t the world so much safer now? Why have all those pesky woke laws when you can just blockade and double tap boats. I’m sure China isn’t looking at us, weighing our hypocrisy on international order, then looking at Taiwan… And, ironically, they’d be kinda reasonable to do so.

Probably concerned about their shadow navy and fishing boats poaching in other countries waters becoming potential targets in the future.

  19. Curious_Proof_5882 on

How many international laws does China break everyday with illegal fishing, technology theft, excessive maritime claims, building out bases on politically sensitive areas. All these tankers are sanctioned by the international courts

  20. Because we all know China cares deeply about international law.

    >
    >Ecuador has sounded the alarm after its navy discovered a huge fishing fleet of mostly Chinese-flagged vessels some 200 miles from the Galápagos Islands, the archipelago which inspired Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution.
    >
    >Chinese fishing vessels come every year to the seas around the Galápagos, which were declared a Unesco world heritage site in 1978, but this year’s fleet is one of the largest seen in recent years. Of the 248 vessels, 243 are flagged to China including to companies with suspected records of illegal, unreported and unregulated, or IUU, fishing, according to research by C4ADS, a data analysis NGO.
    >
    >The fleet includes fishing boats and refrigerated container – or reefer – ships to store enormous catches.
    >
    >Transferring cargo between vessels is prohibited under international maritime law yet the Chinese flotilla has supply and storage ships along with longline and squid fishing boats.

    >“There are some fleets which don’t seem to abide by any regulations,” said Wray.

  21. We had a real chance to support a rules based postwar lib-dem order — but we basically from day one did not uphold the professed rules and instead appealed to them selectively to expand US and allies’ territory / influence / wealth.

  22. If ships from china (to Mexico) are carrying fentanyl (or fentanyl precursors), why not seize them too?
