      And this is why Russia will be completely and utterly defeated… From the very beginning of this war Russia has completely misread Ukrainian resolve and capability, and underestimated the amount of allied support it would (and continue to) receive.

      At this point, it is a military impossibility for the Russians to achieve any kind of exploitative breakthrough. That’s just not what this war is. Putin is stuck with a grinding war of attrition while the Russian economy slowly implodes. I don’t know how long it will take, but even now the Russian state is much worse off than it was 4 years ago. That’s not going to change.
