    1. > “I’m very proud of my performance in it,” he said. “And it’s rare to say, but I actually wouldn’t change anything about how I am in that movie.”

      > “Most times if I’m acting in something, I do not get to decide how good it’s gonna be,” the “Silicon Valley” star explained. “I do not get to choose how the audience is going to receive it. I do not get to choose how much money it’s going to make. I do not get to choose what the reviewers are going to think of it. What I do get to choose is whether or not I learned from it, you know? So to me, that’s been a thing that I have to remind myself over and over and over and over – is that a failure is not a failure. It truly is an opportunity to learn… What I can control is learning from every job and taking a joyful approach to every job.”

Yeah whatever dude. Cash your check and keep it moving. Christian Bale went all out for Marvel slop and it didn’t change the fact that it was Marvel slop.

He also doesnt get to choose if the writers will make the movie enjoyable .

He made using finger guns look cool, I’m just disappointed he didn’t combine both hands for a rifle, or shotgun… 😒

    5. Eternals is not bad because of the actors. Eternals is bad because of the pacing, writing and storytelling.

    6. Eternals gets an irrational amount of hate tbh. It at least had the balls to be visually different than the formulaic way other Marvel movies have looked post-Endgame and I enjoyed most of the characters. Would’ve liked to see where their story went

He was the best part of the movie. Unbelievable that the writers had his character leave before the climax.

    8. I like Kumasi, but I honestly thought his character was just cringe inducing

    9. He got paid a lot of money to get ripped with some of the best trainers in the world. All for a movie where the only good press from it was about how hot he became. I’d be proud too.

I thought the movie was excellent I’ll never understand why it was panned. It’s one of my favorite MCU movies

    11. He sucks as a real actor. Easy as that. And the movie was bad. He used to be funny but it went to his head

    12. That movie was waaaaaay better than what the seemingly general consensus says.

I totally get why he thought this movie was going to be a big deal. When it was in production, Marvel was still riding high. WandaVision had been largely well received and felt like it injected real energy back into the franchise, Loki followed as a genuine hit, and together they seemed to be mapping out the MCU’s next chapter rather than just stalling for time. On the theatrical side, Shang-Chi performed impressively during a period when the box office was still wobbling, and Black Widow, despite a lukewarm reception, made solid money. From his vantage point, there was no obvious reason to expect this project to miss. The problem, unfortunately, is that it just wasn’t very good.

A big part of that comes down to fit. Chloé Zhao was simply the wrong director for Marvel at that moment. It’s easy to see the outline of a more interesting, more singular film she might have wanted to make, but the layers of oversight above her sanded off anything that felt too distinctive. What’s left is a movie that feels less like a vision and more like a compromise. In hindsight, it also marked the early stages of Marvel’s broader downturn, when the formula stopped feeling reliable and started feeling tired. None of this is especially controversial.

What’s harder to ignore is how often he returns to the same grievance: that this movie didn’t change his life. Hearing it once makes sense; hearing it repeatedly starts to sound less like honest reflection and more like fixation. At this point, the repetition shifts the tone from understandable frustration to something closer to self-sabotage. Instead of positioning him as someone hungry for the next challenge, it makes him seem hung up on a missed opportunity. Ironically, that kind of public disappointment is far more likely to close doors to another blockbuster than open them.

Dude is an amazing actor, I have enjoyed everything I’ve seen him in. Didn’t realize he’s also an amazing stand up comedian until I just saw his new Netflix special

I enjoyed his performance. The Bollywood parts were fun, but the movie on the whole was boring and poorly paced.
      There was very little tension

I enjoyed the cast of eternals. I thought it was a good movie. I liked it better than a lot of the marvel movies

    17. Why is this story constantly popping up everywhere all at once all the time

      I loved Eternals. Sue me.

It was a nice break from the same old cookie cutter MCU formula.

    19. I’ll take Eternals, She-Hulk and Multiverse of Madness over most of the other post Endgame Marvel content.

What I’m sick of are these comedians getting ripped in like 1 year and pretending it wasn’t because of steroids. It’s fake.

May be the largest loser to super hero fatigue and marvel seemingly wanting to ignore them before and after their existence. Like, you bring up stuff from their film in the new cap film and yet can’t find a spot for. Idk. Them? Not saying it’s the best marvel film. But it’s hate is slightly overblown.

He’s still on about it? It’s been half a decade and his character won’t ever return. Time to let it go.

    23. Actors performances and quality of the movie are not always related. Especially supporting roles.
