    1. Say what you will about the Chinese government, but the speed and efficiency at which they get shit done is impressive. Also the fact that they are investing in projects like these instead of funneling the money away.

    2. These bad boys had Chinese airlines screaming for help. Too bad there’s too many car brained negative IQ nimby idiots in the US who scream like they’re on Rabies every time they see a train.

      One can wish a comparable Amtrak network.

      China was also at the forefront of innovation during the Song dynasty, when gunpowder and the printing press were invented.

      Are they actually planning to extend the Urumqi high speed rail all the way to southern Xinjiang? Big move if accurate.

    5. I’m really impressed with the system is actually very user friendly and bilingual. I was on it earlier this year and will be going back to China next year so I will be riding it again. I wish Americans could build a network like china has.

    6. I first thought the big white blob the tracks are avoiding is the gobi desert, but nope, it’s the Tibetan plateau.
