Well… one way or the other, they always come down…..
Right landing gear stress test completed successfully, Sir.
We should probably go around again to properly test the left one.

Aircraft has been taken out of service.
Likely needs a full new landing gear.
Going to be a very expensive job.

That was a couple of weeks ago. Plane out of service since then and needs a multimillion repair job on top of a replacement plane for a while to make up the routes. And likely to be multiple „whiplash“ claims from the passengers. Going to be a very expensive bounce for Aer Lingus.
At this point they gotta rename the hard landing to an Irish landing if both Ryanair and Aer Lingus are gonna do it
