Der gefährliche Job des Mannes, der Fotoreportagen von verlassenen Häusern für Menschen macht, die aus Siedlungen nahe der Frontlinie in der Region Dnipro evakuiert wurden (englische Untertitel)
Nobody should risk their life just to take photo of material property. I can’t understand the people ordering that.

Why does he do this? Who could ask a man to risk his life like that?

This is insanely stupid what the fuck, what is the point of confirming what people already know? Your house isn’t your father, you know it’s blown up why are we risking our lives and risking soldiers lives to go confirm this

He seems to be a decent, fit man. He could do so many “ better“ things with his time and energy. If he survives the trip, he only brings back a photo which makes the people cry. I don’t understand that. If he would at least rescue other dumbasses who still wait in ruins for the russians to rape and torture them, after all sane left. It’s harsh, but those only are in the way. Military has to defend against an army of devilish orcs. With everything they have. They can’t also take care for people who don’t want to listen to the evacuation orders and this way risk also the lifes of their protectors…or later on be used as human shield and therefore another settlement gets lost. I understand personal feelings, but a frontline is not the place and time for individuality, and adventurers.
This way, if he keeps doing that, he’ll just catch a bullet or a drone and rot with the invaders, and noone will be able to help or avoid that. He doesn’t contribute to victory or anything positive which helps his people. Sorry for the harsh truth.

This poor man’s life isn’t worth mere photos of abandoned/destroyed homes!

I might be utterly wrong.. but.. imagine you were forced to leave and became refugee far away.
You’d experience difficulties to settle-in because your mind spins around your former life, former garden, former street or that neighbour you thought would rather stay than leave. So you come up with the idea to check if there might be a possibility to return, whats actually going on, are the news reality, is this just a nightmare, if you only had that one forgotten document with you, there was that photo you miss and the only thing thats left.
You suppress ideas to make plans because you dont know if anything of your former life can be salvaged, and you still have this strong home sickness and difficulties to settle your afairs, everything is out of your control.
Yes this mens path is extreme dangerous, thats obvious. He also seemed to have made his deal with what is unimaginable for most of us.
Yet, when I learned something in life than that people also mourn very different, it takes time and affirmative closure helps a lot. It might look macabre but seing the bitter truth can help make better plans for what ever the future might offer.
The actual story is, it should have never come to this whole ordeal. Who are we to judge the last civil standing ground. It’s easy to criticize, but walking the walk is a different thing.
