Another study done on mice. I know mice and people are similar. But to make this claim without doing research on humans is really reaching for it.

    2. Only for research showing the negative effects of weed smoking does reddit instantly start doubting the science or methodology. Studies on mice are absolutely useful as a replacement for human testing that would be unethical, such as this one. You wouldn’t have a bunch of people on reddit doubting that tobacco smoking while pregnant is harmful, yet whenever weed comes under scrutiny, all the pot-heads start whining.

I’m from the west coast of USA. I personally know a significant amount of women who used cannabis while pregnant, for nausea and pain management.

I was very surprised when I found out. Apparently it’s treated as some type of folk remedy, as Rastafarian women regularly consume cannabis while pregnant.

After some research I did find this 1991 study on Rasta women and developmental differences in children whose mothers consumed cannabis in vitro. They found no developmental differences, but would be an interesting long term study now that legality is changing nation wide.
