Not related to OP’s title but India is accurate af, especially Chennai. For the first time I can remember in this city, I haven’t used the AC since the last 3 weeks and even rarely use the fan too. Even the summer wasn’t brutal and had some rainy days which was rare. That being said, climate change is indeed real and it’s scary to see how much hotter it has become everywhere 🙁

    2. Anecdotal evidence isn’t worth much, but I went hiking around Sofia, having put some warm clothes on and I almost boiled myself alive

    3. It’s 8c as I’m writing this here in England…. 8c in mid-late December is nuts

squeezing all these huge land masses together visually shows ya just how wild the size of Africa actually is.

Okay, post this 2 weeks ago and it would be the exact opposite lol. Weather changes

    6. So far it has been mostly around 12°C for the course of December during the day where I live. It’s insane. Average day+night=8.5°C. I sat with a friend outdoors for dining lately, NO heater, we just sat comfortably with the elements.

That is something that should be impossible in December.

There’s one thing I notice is horribly off in measuring as of lately: sunshine duration according to the KNMI would be at around 24h so far (55-ish is normal for the month), however, I noticed at least 50-60 hours of sunny skies (not counting nighttime and cloud-dimmed sun) so far in the southwest. It has been particularly sunny here most of the month, almost every single day there are at least 2-3 hours but some days it is 7h uninterrupted. I don’t know WHAT exactly is going wrong in De Bilt but maybe they need to trim a tree on their premises.

    7. Will go skiing in January as every year since i was born. The winter starts to kick in later every year with mild decembers and not really much snow and ends earlier aswell. I am wondering how many proper seasons we have left. I can’t imagine a life without snowy mountains.
