1. Immigration is a federal responsibility
2. Suggestions to reform the constitution, especially to make provincial court appointments a provincial mandate and abolishing the Senate, are absolutely laughably feeble
3. The CPP is one of the best performing funds in the world, and an APP would almost certainly be under-diversified by focusing too much on energy, and
4. Contracting the RCMP is probably much cheaper than forming a provincial police force, though this is really the least offensive of all their suggestions
As many have pointed out, the purpose of the Alberta Next Panel was to cater to a small separatist fringe within the UCP without Smith coming out and saying separatist things to offend the moderates. She, and Kenny before her, have created a monster and one day it will eat them all alive. Hopefully without taking the province with them
Can’t wrap my head around this party continuously “consulting” the population, getting shot down, and ramping up their unpopular agenda anyway. They’re completely shameless – and why not, they’ll probably be reelected.
Didn’t the pension plan idea get soundly told off?
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.
The Alberta sovereignty movement is a sham and is being used by the US to sow division. I mean when was the last time a Quebecois sovereignty movement actively seeked the help of France to seperate? The Albertans have already meet with high ranking officials in the Trump administration and have had discussion of getting a $500 million dollar loan. The Albertans separatist movement is the opening move of the US to interfere more and maybe divide us to conquer Canada more easily.
Danielle Smith doesn’t own Alberta. Alberta is a part of this country and will remain so. Can’t wait till I never have to hear her name ever again.
