Literally the only reason I know who this lady is? I’m from Thousand Oaks, CA. The Janss family (her first husband was Edwin Janss Gregson) was notable in the town’s history. The old Janss family home sat (still sits!) atop a hill and was used as Thousand Oaks’ Arts Council Center for decades.
Since I was in the city’s community theater scene, I spent thousands of hours at that house from age 10 through my early 20’s.
One of the bathrooms was still plastered with cut-out news articles about May, including articles about her and Sammy. Guess Edwin never gave up the torch.
Thank you for reading my pointless story.
