      Did anyone really expect Donald Trump to release the files completely? He doesn’t want to destroy his own presidency, although he’ll probably end up doing just that!

      If I remember correctly, the release bill requires DOJ to provide explanations for all redactions. Let’s see if that happens.

      I’m tired of acting defeated about this, I said at the beginning of this year that if the Epstein files was truly the scandal that would bring Trump down, then the people whose jobs it was to pursue it would never stop. The full Watergate scandal took years to play out and I expect this to as well.

      I will never be satisfied with whatever released. This was used by Trump to get into the office. No one should ever accept anything, and demand more answers – forever. If they like conspiracy theories so much, then I am ALL IN on this one.

      At this point, Bill Clinton should just come out and admit everything and spill the beans on what the Trump Administration is hiding. They’re clearly putting all his stuff out there and redacting anything about Trump.

      I used to work with Infosec for a major American defense contractor. I have viewed and processed literally thousands of classified documents, many with substantial redactions.

      This is by far the most heavily redacted document I have ever seen.

      This is a complete farce.

      But here’s a non inclusive list of the many story changes and ‚coincidences‘ preventing these from being ‚released‘ over the last year-ish:

      * Trump campaigns on releasing these files.
      * Bondi former Trump lawyer appointed by to the DOJ says she has them and they’re under review.
      * Bondi shockingly says they don’t exist.
      * Trump says they’re a hoax created by the deep state.
      * Trump says they’ll ruin lives if released.
      * The FBI is reported then confirmed to be using thousands of agents to flag mentions of Trump
      * Trump says someone should investigate Bill Clinton being in the files.
      * Trump is lashes out about why people are still talking about all of this fake news
      * After meeting with another of Trumps private lawyers turned DOJ lackey Ghislaine Maxwell is moved to ‚club fed‘ and is getting closer and closer to being released
      * Johnson claims Trump was an informant then quickly recanted
      * Patel claims Epstein only trafficked people to himself
      * Pictures with and letters to Epstein released almost immediately after Trump says he didn’t have involvement with him
      * Johnson refuses to hold vote on releasing the files
      * When congress had enough votes Johnson sends congress home and refuses to swear in deciding member for nearly 2 months citing ‚the shutdown‘
      * The house forces a vote 427-1 the 1R citing victim privacy; Senate passes it unanimously with no vote
      * New pictures and evidence of Trump and Epstein are released.
      * The day of the deadline the DOJ says it will take weeks to release
      * The day of the deadline they release hundreds up on hundreds of completely blacked out pages and heavily redacted photos except for Democrats – just like everyone said they would.
      * The WH says releasing these means they’re fully cooperating and have done more for the victims than anyone else.

      At every step of the way Republicans are flip flopping, finger pointing, and doing whatever they can to discredit or prevent these files getting out in their entirety.

      It’s ridiculous – only 12,361 pages were produced.

      They didn’t provide metadata.

      They didn’t provide document text, despite being told it needed to be searchable.

      The longest document is 119 pages and it’s just nothing but full page redactions.

      If I had received this as a production from an opposing party, I’d expect a conversation with the judge to discuss how they were utterly inept and had given me close to nothing by the production deadline.
