I made this dashboard in tableau after aggregating data from the U.S. Census Bureau and the Maryland State Board of Elections. Let me know how it can be improved.
Copying my comment from r/Maryland for purposes of discussion:
One note is a technical one, just because there are 21k voting age people unregistered doesn’t mean they are all eligible to vote.
Legal Status non-citizens (like Green Card holders) aren’t eligible to vote for Congress. In other states (not MD anymore) convicted felons lose their right to vote for life. So the wording for that should probably change
There are also a few places where you’ve conflate Congress and the House of Representatives and you need to clean that up. Congress refers to the entire federal legislature, which is made up of two seperate parts, the Senate and the House of Representatives
Otherwise its a pretty good dashboard IMO
As somebody who lives in this Congressional District, I have to say that this is a very clear, easily navigable way of presenting this comprehensive, detailed information. Do you have similar dashboards for other Maryland districts?
I’d be interested in seeing „did not vote“ as well.
This is really good The only thing I’d add would be a „show all“ tab at the end that combines all the previous tabs.
