Both Blue Origin and „Starship“ need multiple in-orbit refueling to get to the moon.
„Boil-off“ with the orbiting fuel tanker is the issue and the fuel needs to be vented off into space.

That is of course, if Starship can get to orbit and then get to orbit with a payload of fuel and then dock and transfer that fuel to an orbiting tanker.

These would all be significant „firsts“ for space travel and have yet to be achieved.

Here is a great link that explains just how unnecessarily complicated the Artemis III mission is compared to the Apollo missions.

Of course, The Nazi rocket scientist and Apollo Moon Mission chief Von Braun said that they would need a Rocketship the size of the Empire State building to get to the moon but he must have made an error in his calculations…..

Musk is talking about Starship, not „all possible spacecraft ever built.“

Different spacecraft = different mass = different propulsion = different mission architecture.

Starship’s mass is enormous compared to Apollo. A simple analogy:

      * Apollo was like a custom-built drag racer: light, disposable, terrifying and fast.
      * Starship is like a cargo airplane: reusable, heavy, safe and refuelable.

Both can cross the same distance. One just does it very differently.

The Apollo missions Saturn V wasn’t designed to be efficient and sustainable, it also wasn’t very practical.

Starship is designed to be reusable, efficient and sustainable. Starship is also heavier and larger than saturn while also being way more practical

The difference is: NASA hired highly skilled engineers. The dude in the video is a Youtuber. Just a person talking about stuff they know nothing about.

CAN WE JUST FUCKING COME OUT WITH THE ANIT GRAVITY PROPULSION ALREADY FFS, OR IS IT ONLY CHINA THAT HAS IT??? seriously what the fuck, we all know its a thing.

He’s looking at the problem incorrectly, let the engineers figure it out.

The Boomers were a lot smarter than any generation especially the last few. They were literally flying around the stars in space ships talking on cell phones after playing golf and driving go karts on the moon. They did not lose the tech they pulled the ladder up so only they can fly around stars in their space ships. Boomers were next level it’s time for us new generations to admit it.

Apollo only landed a small lunar lander, and it was good for only 1 use.

Starship is a multi story building strong enough to reuse.

The moon landing “hoax” is a litmus test for conspiracy folks. The gov knows anyone who thinks it was a hoax is probably mentally challenged.

The are a few reasons why SpaceX may need numerous refueling missions, and it does not mean that the Apollo missions were fake. It’s dependent on how one intends to get to the Moon.

SpaceX plans on using a massive lunar landing variant of Starship called the Human Landing System (HLS). This is intended to sit in lunar orbit to take astronauts to and from the lunar surface. All told, this HLS is almost half the length of the Saturn V and monumentally heavier than the command service module and lunar module that had reached the Moon’s orbit. This is without factoring in the HLS hauling the massive landing craft.

This HLS needs to be fully fueled when it gets to the Moon, which Starship cannot reach without expending fuel, and as its design is intended for low-Earth orbit – it needs to be refueled to actually reach the Moon. This is a problem the Saturn V doesn’t have, as it was designed from the ground-up with the intention of carrying the fuel and payload necessary for reaching the Moon.

So we can now see that the two scenarios are not analogous. The Saturn V is a semi truck going on a 1,500 mile trip on one tank of gas, while SpaceX intends on making the same journey using a pickup truck that has a max range of 500 miles – It’s going to need refueling.

This grifter said we’d get a man on Mars in 10 years, 13 years ago.

He still hasn’t gotten anyone to the moon.

Im not a rocket scientist, but I assume this has something to do with Apollo using completely different rockets then whatever SpaceX would use for such a mission.
