      How the ever living fuck is that 5 years? Even if he only did 5 years inside he should be on licence for life.

      Not only has his family lost him they have to live with the knowledge that this cunt will only spend about 3 years in jail for it.

      Yes technically he was „beaten to death“ but it was one punch hence the man slaughter charge that the cps accepted.

      Can’t read it without subscribing to the telegraph. However 5 years for killing someone seems like an absolute joke!

      for those wondering why the sentence seems light it’s because A) it was manslaughter not murder B) the „beating“ was actually a slap and C) he plead guilty which attracts a deduction of 1/3 off the expected sentence

      What do you even do anymore. You call out poor behaviour, you get assaulted, you die, your children’s lives are altered irreversibly.

      The guy who ended your life over nothing and stole you from your kids lives, gets a paltry sentence and is back on the streets in a couple years.

      This isn’t justice, this is a father getting murdered over an attempt to do the right thing.

      And they wonder why society is the way it is.
