It explains the destruction of the rose garden and east wing. Trump and republicans hate Kennedy. One might think they had something to do with 1963.

“It’s fair to say that 80 percent of the world’s problems involve old men hanging on who are afraid of death and insignificance, and they won’t let go. They build pyramids, and they put their names on everything and they get very anxious about it.“ -Barack Obama

It’s pretty bad we have stuff named after traitors who fought for slavery. Do we really have to start naming stuff after pedos just because maga loves pedos?

And we will be driving our Trump cars, on the Trump highway as blow our nose or Trump paper, as we pass through New Trump City. We’ll have dinner at Trump restaurant and have Trump cut steaks cooked medium Trump. We’ll use the Trump knive to cut it and the Trump fork to eat it. And then have cake for Trump (that’s what dessert is called now).

Then go home and tell everyone we Trumped our wife. Twice. And she said it was the best Trump she ever had.

    6. I will vote for whichever Dem candidate runs on a platform of a Day 1 executive order stripping Trump’s name and likeness from everything.

Just more shit that we’re gonna have to undo when this bastard is gone.

Trump-Kennedy is the philosophical version of trying to push two opposing magnets together.

    9. He has to be doing this to purposefully piss people off. There’s no other explanation.

It really fucking sucks that tax payers are funding the change over and will also have to fund the reversal.

      >“Congratulations to President Donald J. Trump, and likewise, congratulations to President Kennedy, because this will be a truly great team long into the future! The building will no doubt attain new levels of success and grandeur,” she said.

„New levels of success and grandeur“. Subscriptions are down drastically, they can’t fill seats.

I don’t know why they’re bothering to keep Kennedy’s name on it.

    12. Legally, the name for the Center can’t be changed except by an act of congress. Public Law 88-260, also known as the John F. Kennedy Center Act, established the center as a „living memorial“ to the late president. The board doesn’t have the power to change the name.

I’m sure JFK’s heirs will love having his legacy mixed up with a convicted felon (34 counts!).

    14. Instead of DOGE, the next president needs to create GROM – Get rid of MAGA. Remove the gold. Remove the plaques. Remove everything this guy touched.

    15. LOL 🤣 It will be funny when all that shit is removed. He’s such a narcissist in desperate need for attention. He knows he’s going down as the worst President ever so he’s quickly slapping his name on everything he can.

„SEC. 11. The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, designated by this Act, shall be the sole national memorial to the late John Fitzgerald Kennedy within the city of Washington and its
      environs.“

SEC. 2. In addition to the amendments made by the first section of his Act, any designation or reference to the National Cultural Center in any other law, map, regulation, document, record, or other paper
of the United States shall be held to designate or refer to such Center as the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

      Approved January 23, 1964.

Petition to rename Epstein Island as Trump Island in the spirit of this whole renaming thing the admin has going on

For some reason this is the straw that broke me. I cried. I don’t have any more hope. I am empty and crushed and it is still year one.

    19. Once again, this person poisons everything that he touches. Now the performing arts.

    20. Until his name is off the wall and his goons are off the Board, my money or I won’t be going anywhere NEAR it.

    21. „Donald Trump spends his time plastering his name around DC as your energy and grocery prices are going up while he calls it a hoax. Vote Democrat.“

    22. Nothing screams weakness and insecurity more than having to plaster your name over everything – while you’re still alive …

    23. When Trump took office I made a Facebook post predicting a North Korea style Trump branding of the National Mall.

All of my MAGA friends roasted me as a TDS victim.

Each time something like this happens I update the post and they double down, including this specific change months before it actually happened.

We are going to end up with a giant Trump statue on the Mall.

    24. Tacking on his shitty name to a once-respected institution. They will always whine and demand respect because they can’t earn it.

    25. TheGhostofWoodyAllen on

Naming things after a sitting president is classless as hell, tacky as hell, dictator-like as hell. Only an insecure manchild with the brains of a sherbert ice cream would want that.

    26. And 6 months from now, they’ll vote again to remove Kennedy from the name entirely
