I am under impression that it is Google’s policies that have hindered development of Google Maps for Cyprus.
Only recently Street View was added for many streets – previously only central avenues were mapped with Street View.
Google does not allow submissions for corrections by the public in Cyprus. There are many errors in the polygons of the objects, as well as the naming and other properties. This causes consistent issues with deliveries for many people.
At the same time, I do not know why these restrictive policies are in place for Cyprus…
