      I’m with the delivery apps on this one. I want to tip after the delivery, to make sure the delivery was actually good service and on time.

      Upfront tipping makes no sense when the courier might decide to do two deliveries on the other side of town for other delivery apps before deciding to finally complete yours.

      A tip is for service rendered. If they want to force you to bid for your order to be picked up, don’t call it a tip

      Piggies demanding their chipotle slop delivered to their door ASAP and god forbid they pay a premium for the privilege

      Worth noting that these apps present the tip in a very different way in Europe, where they’re normal and don’t tip every possible service.
