About time Gardaí were brought up to modern policing standards giving officers proper tools like tasers will help protect them in an increasingly violent environment.
Good. It’s ridiculous seeing gardai try take down lads with knives with nothing but their batons. One wrong move and they’re dead
Eh, no, lads, you were supposed to give the guards bodycams BEFORE tasers, not the other way around. Seriously though this is a bad idea without accountability.
It’s a trial, which is only being rolled out in areas where body cams are also being trialled. Happy with that.
ICCL has already come out against this, just like they did when they announced the trial of body cams for Gardai. They are to Garda modernisation what PBP are to defence spending…
