There’s something in the eyes that can’t be expressed in words when you see men stuck in a foxhole together for that long. It’s not that they’re big, not that they’re strained or anything obvious; you just know it when you see it.

I hope books upon books are written about the brave soldiers like these. People need to realize that what we’re witnessing here is history in the making; the next stories that will in decades to come become historical novels and miniseries no different than Band of Brothers or Saving Private Ryan.
Ukraine deserves even more support than what they’re already getting.
