      🙄

      Edited to add:

      Here’s another video: [https://www.youtube.com/shorts/L4ICNwmc2tQ](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/L4ICNwmc2tQ)

      Snippet:

      * President Donald Trump claimed that Israeli-American mega-donor Miriam Adelson offered him $250 million to run for an unconstitutional third term in 2028 — an idea he’s repeatedly teased.
      * At a White House Hanukkah reception on Tuesday night, Trump spoke glowingly of Adelson before bringing her up on stage.
      * “Miriam gave my campaign indirectly and directly $250 million, she was the number one,” the Republican president said to a crowd of people in the East Room. “When somebody can give you $250 million, I think that we should give her the opportunity to say hello.”

Don’t remember there being a clause in the constitution that sets a money limit needed for a third term..

      >Adelson — who was married to billionaire [Sheldon Adelson](https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-harris-campaign-donations-billionaires-b2641096.html) until his death in 2021 — then stood behind the podium and revealed she had just met with Alan Dershowitz, a Harvard Law School professor who served as an attorney for Jeffrey Epstein.

When Republicans start declaring their candidacy for 2028 Trump will absolutely shit all over them. There’s no way he’s going to tolerate it.

i feel like this is a bribe for something else, under the guise of „support for a 3rd term“. Like trump wont be able to do a 3rd term. His popularity is in the toilet currently and after the midterms (with some seats going blue) he is going to be even more unhinged and attacking his own base for their failures. Then their is whole how well he is doing health wise. He most likely had a TIA not that long ago. In the next 3 years at the pace he is going he could very well end up with a major stroke.

This has to be for support of something Adelson needs to make more than 250M back. what it is, we wont know. Probably something related to insider trading information for stocks or crypto.

One of the hallmarks of dementia is an inability to appreciate the how much the disease has devastated the person. Trump thinks he could go one being president for seven more years. The reality is he is unlikely to last seven more months. Without any awareness of his medical reality, Trump confabulates a $250 million offer to run for an unconstitutional term.

There is no offer and there never was, there is no possibility of running for president again, there is no future for a man with Alzheimer’s.

Trump won’t last through this term, let alone run again.

    7. So much wrong here, the least of which is someone being paid millions to run for office.

JFK: ask not what your country can do for you…

Trump: how much can I grift from this country?

    9. Fluffytrooper on

Who the hell will support a third term for him? False promises every corner.

    10. Theferael_me on

Sounds more like the sort of thing you’d expect from a ‚corrupt shithole‘.

    11. Riker_Omega_Three on

Ain’t nobody paying him to run a 3rd time

This dude really exists in his own reality

    12. According_Gift_7095 on

So we are just openly admitting to bribes larger than the GDP of some countries? What a shitshow

    13. Raspberries-Are-Evil on

It would be amazing. Imagine 83 year old Trump barely able to move or speak running for a “third term” and no Republicans willing to challenge him.

    14. Trump so far has been able to do what he wants because of the spinless Repubs who let him get away with it. I am very curious how far they let him go. Do they really openly defy the constitution and name trump their candidate again?

    15. Afraid Trump has left a permanent shit stain on America that can’t be cleaned. Murder, graft, and corruption rein in this administration.

    16. The_Bootylooter on

Still got to get through next three years. So seven years if I did my maths right. Trump will be 86 when starts his fourth term. And why stop there! Go for a record fifth term to be beat FDR and retire at the ripe age of 96.

    17. Publicly admitting to taking bribes. Every day, multiple new horrors. Please make it end.

    18. kittenTakeover on

I’ve been saying it a lot lately, but I’ll say it again. Extensive investments in other countries constitutes a conflict of interest and national security risk when it comes to politics and government.

    19. Electrical-Orange-38 on

He WILL run again, and he WILL be ‚elected‘.

And if and when we emerge from this, American democracy will be a shadow of its former self and we WILL live in an authoritarian state.

And we did this to ourselves.

    20. Politicians who have reached their term limits should not be allowed to take donations anymore.

      „running government like a business“

Does this make us the shareholders or the merchandise?

    22. Media/GOP when Biden *partially* messes up a debate: 🤯

Media/GOP when Trump repeatedly mentions an illegal third term: 🤷‍♂️

    23. Even if he was the best president ever, 86 is at least ten years older than I’d like a setting president to be.

    24. Soggy_Panda2393 on

“The offer was made in rubles and yen and while the investors remain anonymous sources close to them mention that this investment is much cheaper than weapons and infantry for destabilizing and destroying the US.”

      Probably

    25. “The constitution doesn’t say he can’t RUN for a 3rd term”. SCOTUS, probably.

    26. IndependentPutrid564 on

Honestly, I hope he does. He’ll just fuck the rights chances and crush the primaries

    27. BigBoyYuyuh on

He’s never leaving power. We’re under a dictatorship and you’re a fool if you think otherwise.

    28. taco_fan_X3 on

Let me guess: they came up to him with tears in their eyes and said, “Sir…. “

    29. Hypothetically I wonder what he would do if someone offered him 250m to fire his cabinet and resign himself

    30. keirmeister on

So…Trump is being bribed to violate the Constitution?

Sounds impeachable, but we know conservatives don’t actually care about laws or the Constitution when their side violates them.

    31. Orbit_CH3MISTRY on

So cool! The president talking about he can be bought and breaking the law
