    Basically, Ningning once posted a photo of a decorative lamp whose shape vaguely resembles a mushroom cloud. No caption about war, no Japan reference, no political statement. Just “I like this lamp.” That’s it.

    Fairness usually assumes intent matters. Here, it doesn’t. Japanese pop culture freely uses war imagery, explosions, and military aesthetics without similar global self-policing.
