Ich bin Nachrichtensprecher bei KBS (Korea Broadcasting System) und habe diesen Dokumentarfilm persönlich produziert.
Ich hatte immer das Gefühl, dass der Beitrag der puertoricanischen Soldaten im Koreakrieg nicht ausreichend mit der Welt geteilt wurde. Also, Ich beschloss, etwas zu unternehmen und diesen Film selbst zu drehen zu ehren "Borinqueneers" und ihr unglaubliches Erbe.
Ich bin sogar nach Puerto Rico gereist, um die Überlebenden persönlich zu treffen. Dies ist mein Tribut an ihr Opfer und die tiefe Verbundenheit zwischen unseren beiden Nationen.

I didn’t know there was a special Puerto Rican division, I just assumed there would be PR people in the American ones in general since Puerto Rico is basically a US state in all but name as I see it
Realistically we’re at a point where a lot of the combatants from lower-income regions are reaching the end of their lifespan. Puerto Rico is a great example, but there are also many countries whose citizens participated as part of the then-coloniser’s military.
I sincerely hope at least while they’re breathing and being talked and remembered about by there families, that we take the initiative to find and acknowledge them as well.
