Takaichi didn’t say anything radical, wrong, or incorrect.
She stated a legal and geographic fact: „*a war over Taiwan would directly threaten Japan’s survival.*“
China trying to drag this into the UN as “interference” is pure theater. You don’t get to militarize the Taiwan Strait, fire missiles nearby, fly jets at Japan, and then pretend others aren’t allowed to acknowledge the consequences.
Japan didn’t change the status quo…. Beijing did.
And now it’s upset that people are saying so out loud, and are losing face over it.
A retraction would only „legitimize“ the CCP’s agression, in their minds; further endangering the stability and security of the region.
What exactly is the point of the UN at this point? China is literally on the human rights council while committing an eradication of Muslim culture.
Before I took this sub for real news but now it’s turning into my favorite clown show lmao. If you have the slightest clue about International Relations you’d know this is just propaganda against propaganda. In the end it’s never about so-called ideologies. If you have time to read this bot’s post I’d suggest you go to gym for a good workout instead of wasting your time here.
