China isn’t Russia. I suspect when they go for it they’ll be prepared.

Eh, this is the perfect time for China to go after Taiwan. US is weak under Trump, easily influenced by Putin and Xi. Europe is worried about Ukraine and has its resources occupied against Russian encroachment. The rest of Asia is in a wait and see mode.
Economically, however Taiwan companies have made a lot of investments in Taiwan and those companies and investors will flee to Singapore.
Having visited Taiwan itself, it is mountainous and many of its infrastructure is quite old. Other than TSMC and the cities on the west coast, I’m not sure if there is much value gained by taking over Taiwan.
I would prefer nothing to change and right now I’m seeing more posturing than action for the time being.
