French and Germans wimping out again. I wonder what they would do if/when Russia is at their doorstep.
Instead of requiring Ukraine to concede territory. The peace plan should require Germany and France to concede territory. With a security guarantee from Italy
The West, if it had the will, had the power to end this madness in the first year. Heck, if they had the courage to have stationed significant numbers of their own troops in Ukraine prior to the start of the conflict, it would have deterred Putin from invading at all, and nobody need have died. Cowardice is turning this war into 1000 times the conflict it needed to be. They are needlessly prolonging it through their timidity
This is why I don’t think EU will ever really compete with US in military development.
At first sign of peace these countries would just roll back all the progression and research they developed, and regressed back to early 1990s budget.
Are French and German adults prepared to be drafted into the army to fight Putin if Ukraine loses?
Is that what it will take to understand that paying Ukraine to fight so on Europes behalf is actually the easy option in the long term?
