President Donald Trump has doubled down on his heartless response to the murder of Rob Reiner, insisting that the slain director was “deranged” and “bad for our country.”

Despite the backlash Trump faced on Monday for suggesting that Reiner’s death was due to the “anger he caused others” by being critical of the president, Trump refused to back away from the controversial comments when asked about them in the Oval Office.

“Well, I wasn’t a fan of his at all. He was a deranged person as far as Trump is concerned,” he said on Thursday afternoon.

    2. Trump is a sociopath, and/or a narcissist. (Probably closer to being a narcissist, because those two things are quite similar).

EDIT: Or he’s both. For some reason I thought those conditions were either/or. If both is possible, then he’s probably both.

It’s actually weird (and a sign of dementia) that Trump hasn’t mentioned that Reiner’s wife did the photoshoot for his book, The Art of the Deal.

“Well, I wasn’t a fan of his at all. He was a deranged person as far as Trump is concerned,”

The president talks about himself in third-person.

The president has a “main character” complex and thinks everyone else are just NPCs.

      Edit:
Where are the “Democrats need to tone down the rhetoric” right wingers right now?

Heck, where are the “sanctity of life” and “family values” right wingers right now?

Remember when the President was someone that set the example of how to act? Children in MAGA households are growing up to think this is normal.

I cannot wait to pour a liter of year old piss onto his grave, before pissing out entire bladder’s worth as well on to it.

I hate this shitstain worthless sack of decaying flesh and vitriol).

    7. 3 months ago the same folks were blaming liberal rhetoric for causing violence. Now, crickets. I’d love to bring this up in the conservative safe space sub, but you know outside narratives and dissent are not allowed there.

Has he ever apologized for anything? I mean literally ever, have you ever heard that from him?

Of course not, he’s a sociopath surrounded by boot lickers. I guarantee they are all high fiving each other in the Oval Office right now. Zero guilt, zero shame.

      Sociopath.

There isn’t a word in any language to encapsulate how despicable and vile Trump is.he is best summed up by his good friend Jeffery Epstein when Epstein said he had never seen someone as despicable as Trump

    10. Popculturemofo on

The real sick part is that every Trump supporter loves and supports this kind of behavior and the ones who say they don’t are lying. We have 77+ million people who are so twisted and broken.

    11. PineappleHaunting403 on

“Can the president be presidential.” At this point, that’s too much to ask.

    12. Federal_Drummer7105 on

Huh. He’s really going out of his way to make people forget he’s in the Epstein files. Like, all over the files to the point they had to get 1,000 FBI agents to go through them and rack up almost $1 million in overtime.

So – sure. We all know he’s a jerk, but I don’t think this is going to disguise that Trump is all over the Epstein files.

    13. Why did/does anyone think „TDS“ is any less of a projection than anything else that comes out of the right?

„Every accusation is a confession“ doesn’t just stop when it get to TDS.

Trump is deranged. His followers are deranged. It’s why they have been hellbent on using the acronym against others.

    14. Trump is happy for us to be talking about stuff like this, I think. The substantive stuff is much worse for him. The cratering economy, the child rapes, the oozing corruption.

    15. The_DanceCommander on

This stuff is maybe the most deranged Trump has ever been, and that’s saying a lot.

Trump is literally saying with no pretext that a man who was brutally and viciously murdered deserved it because he spoke out against me.

It’s some of the worst, most unhinged shit he’s ever said.

    16. FredFredrickson on

Imagine the president of the fucking United States taking time out of his supposedly busy day to talk shit about you when you died, simply because you weren’t a supporter.

Republicans have normalized this vile, deplorable behavior.

    17. Weird-Independence79 on

This is just another example of how this man has zero empathy for anyone but himself and signals a broader mental disorder that affects everything he does. If this doesn’t convince you this man has no business running the country, then you’re probably the kind of person that cheers on ICE

    18. Now let’s see the right make a compilation of rob saying the most heinous shit you have ever heard in your life and have the left try to justify it.

      I’ll wait.

    19. If Reiner really were deranged, then his criticism of Trump wouldn’t be evidence of malice or conspiracy. it would be evidence of error, confusion, or illness. And if it’s error, the proper response isn’t outrage or retaliation, it’s dismissal or even pity. You don’t take moral offense at a malfunctioning compass.

By insisting Reiner is both crazy and culpably hostile, Trump tries to have it both ways and that collapses the argument. You can’t treat someone as irrational while simultaneously holding them morally responsible for a calculated attack. Pick one.

    20. catlessinKaiuma on

it is an accurate description, of Trump. „Projection“ is the clinical term for when someone denies the bad things they do/are, and instead accuses others of those things. Trump does it all the time.

    21. Blackcofferedwine on

How about the fact he thinks it’s absolutely reasonable and even expected for people who criticize him to be murdered? Because he knows full well he signals this to his supporters and many have or will go to those extremes to “defend” him.

    22. Sundowning old man has no business being near the levers of power, nor does his army of sycophants. Neither does much of Congress. Or the supreme court.

    23. Stunning_Ad3273 on

The American president believes you deserve to die if you don’t kiss his ass.

    24. fastfurlong on

Soon – One day Trump will die. From what. Who knows. the world will be better off for it

    25. El__Dangelero on

He can’t even do the simplest of acts as The President of the United States when an American is murdered in his own home. Apologize and provide a statement of comfort. It’s the absolute minimum he should be able to do anytime something like this happens regardless if they voted for him or not. He’s a piece of fucking garbage

    26. ProtonCanon on

His entire worldview revolves around his fragile ego, and whether or not people are loyal to him.

That people see that and still vote for him is the truly depressing part.
