-
Wo bekommt man Skibekleidung, falls man etwas braucht?
-
Was ist mit dem Berg? Wo kann man am besten Ski fahren? Ich habe einen Skipass
-
👍 Vielen Dank

You will get daily neccesseties in gaschurn, anything else in bludenz.
Gaschurn is a skiing village, they live from skitourism. You get everything you can think of for skiing there, fuck decathlon.
I think you can buy a new snowboard fpr 300€, dont rent a whole season. If you do a seasonal job in ski tourism, you will very likely be skiing every day dince this and drinking are the easiest activities in such skiing villages during winter.
Have a nice time and bring some condoms.
You should aks r/vorarlberg
Drink some Skiwasser
Welcome! I‘m assuming you will work at a ski resort or in a hotel/restaurant?
1. If you are looking for shops, Bludenz has a big mall with different stores. If you don’t want to drive that far, there is a small mall in Schruns and a few shops in town. I don’t think Gaschurn has many shops
2. Renting a snowboard is about 35€/day. You can rent it at Intersport or Sport Harry or others. It gets cheaper if you rent it for longer than a day. There is also the possibility of renting skis, poles, helmets and boots and also avalanche equipment. You can rent it online here: [Link](https://www.intersportrent.at/en) or here [Link](https://www.sportharry.at/de/Verleih/Skiverleih-Preise)
ETA: I agree with the other commenter, it is cheaper to buy your equipment if you are planning to go skiing/snowboarding for more than a few days.
3. You also mentioned Lidl and Aldi (which is called Hofer here). Ask your employer if you are eligible for a free ski pass (if you are working at a ski resort). You might be able to use public transport for free (again, ask your employer).
Don’t drink too much alcohol, that will save you lots of money. Cooking your own meals is cheaper than take out, but you likely get at least lunch for free or at least cheaper through your work.
4. I don’t know sorry. I think Hofer and Lidl both offer cheap plans for mobile
5. Bludenz is better for shopping than Gaschurn. Zimbapark mall will have most of the things you need.
6. No decathlon but Hervis or Intersport also have cheap(ish) options for clothing. I recommend the Intersport in Bürs (Bludenz) as the staff is really nice and competent there.
You also have the option of several sport outlets where you can get great deals. You will drive past two of those outlets on your way to Gaschurn, might as well stop and have a look there: SportOutlet in Lorüns and Wilhelmer Sport Outlet in Vandans.
7. Can’t help you there but do not choose Raiffeisen
8. Do you have the Montafon Brandnertal card? What snow/slopes do you prefer?
Silvretta Nova and Hochjoch are relatively big and also offer things like a funpark. I‘d check those out first since they are close to your location.
If you want to try out something fun you can try out the alpine coaster at Golm (Golm is a smaller ski resort, more family orientated but also nice to try out for a day or two).
Public transport to and from the mountain is free with a seasonal ski pass.
9. just behave like a decent human being and you will be fine. Just a heads up, especially if you haven‘t worked in tourism before: guests can be absolute dicks. Don’t be discouraged by the rudeness and audacity of some people. Also, speak up for yourself, especially if someone tries to exploit you. Sadly, people sometimes take advantage of foreigners working in the tourism branche, don’t let that happen to you and seek help if something is not right.
Have fun and good luck, if you have any questions you can dm me, I also worked a seasonal job in Montafon for a few winters and I will definitely be around on the slopes this winter!
You should definitely try the „Shrimpspfanne Sennerinnen Art“.
Prices will be +1000% of what it is worth, but i am certain you can afford it, if you planned a trip like this.
Visit Feldkirch and Bregenz during your stay ✌🏻
