Sie fragen sich, warum e-Estonia seinen E-Sports-Superstar ropz nicht zum Sportler des Jahres nominiert?
Da die Auszeichnung bereits in diesem Jahr für Schach und seine Leistungen vergeben wurde (2x). "Wesentlich"(Weltmeisterschaften und andere große Turniere) würde meiner Meinung nach zumindest eine Nominierung rechtfertigen.

Estonia Olympic Committee favors mostly Olympic sports and European and World championships. They could be added to the nominees list, but esports is not very popular or well known in Estonia, so there is no pressure from public either for the journalists to add them
Athlete – a person who is proficient in sports and other forms of physical exercise.
Sadly older people don’t know anything about E-sports and they probably have no idea how significant his achievements are..
Meanwhile his teammate “Mezii” was on BBC not too long ago and Macron himself congratulated “Apex” and “Zywoo” after their last major win.
I could play video games for 12 hours straight without breaking a sweat. Run suicides? Yeah, I could do it, but given a chance, I would like to opt out.

For what it’s worth, I don’t consider chess a sport either. There should be an entirely new category for sitting-down activities that count as competition.
