Very intetesting! I’m a conservationist in North America and I’m sure our native American beech here would never tolerate coastal winds like that. Typically the lack of an understory would also nake me think that this forest is anything but „untouched.“ But you say it’s protected, and coastal ecosystems can be pretty unusual. The winds and sand likely make it hard for many things to grow there. I’d love to know the species of beech here and learn more about this area!
