      I’ve been saying this for a long time. I don’t know if he knows he’s lying. He has to be, hands down, the least curious person to ever hold that office. He has none of the attributes that would make him an effective executive. He surrounds himself with the worst people. It would not surprise me if he is fed a constant diet of misinformation, his staff does what they want, and then they tell him what to sign.

      While he is definitely ok with lying, sometimes i do get the sense that he genuinely believes things are better under him and that Dems or newspapers are lying about his performance.

      This doesn’t remotely surprise me, I mean one of the first things we learned about Trump as a president back at the start of his first term was that he needed a folder full of positive news about himself given to him every single morning.

      Man, I bet his resume is something else, full of achievements and all. It’s probably got all the buzzwords and impressive accomplishments you could imagine. I’m curious to see how he frames his past experiences. It’s gotta be pretty wild, I bet. Definitely not your average CV, that’s for sure.

      People literally voted for this man as he said what he was going to do and then we’re shocked when he actually did it. It seems like we need him to be as awful as possible so people won’t keep going back.

      I feel like a lot of people think Trump is some kind of deceitful mastermind, and certainly he’s a shitbag that lies constantly, but also on top of it, the guy is lied to constantly by his staff, advisors, and the media he consumes so they can stay on his good side.

      Toss in the dementia sundowning and I think it’s safe to say nothing he hears is connected to reality at this point.

      Whenever he pops up with some new batshit talking point from another universe, I guarantee you it’s some aide or advisor or talking head in the background trying to steer him around like a direct to VHS Weekend at Bernies spinoff.
