Remember seeing their show in the RDS that years and it was fantastic. Never knew they were on the late late
While I know they did the live shows, I’m always surprised they didn’t do more in Ireland. Clarkson reviewed the Twingo in Belfast and Hammond raced the dog in Wicklow in a MX5 but apart from that, I can’t think of anything else. Surely somewhere like the Ring of Kerry or Connemara would have been a great place to review a car

I remember seeing this and got very annoyed that they turn up to a show for kids pissed or hungover it just seemed wrong
Hack of them
Seems controversial on this sub, but the show was fucking excellent. For years it was one of the most watched non-Irish programmes, same with The Grand Tour. Every single lad I knew watched it. Absolutely loved the dynamic.

I saw Top Gear live when it was here. I assume that’s the show they’re talking about. Afterwards they brought us in the back to show us a tour of the cars used in the show. Gerry Ryan was standing next to me and I remember thinking how awful he looked. He died not long after and when I heard the cause I wasn’t surprised.
