Guten Tag, das war bei meiner Großmutter bzw. Urgroßmutter. Die Kombination englischer Buchstaben wird von Google Translate nicht berechnet. Nach dem, was Google zurückgegeben hat, könnte es sich um ein Sprichwort handeln, das möglicherweise nicht einfach zu übersetzen ist.

    Wir würden uns über jede Hilfe freuen und bedanken uns im Voraus.

      Own hearth worth gold

      In Swedish it rhymes, so this the literal translation is Own hearth gold worth.

    2. It says ”Egen Härd Guld Värd”, which kind of translates into ”Own hoard/hearth is worth gold”

    3. Own hearth, is worth gold. Meaning having your own home is the best thing.

    4. Egen härd, guld värd.

      Lit: Own hearth, gold worth.

      Meaning: You can’t put a price on having you own home.

    5. „Egen härd är guld värd“ is a Swedish proverb that means that one’s own home is extremely valuable, it is priceless to have one’s own place where one can feel safe and cook. „Härd“ refers to the fireplace/stove, i.e. the core of the home where warmth and cooking take place, and the proverb emphasizes the importance of home with a poetic ring. The expression has also given its name to books and events, and describes the value of one’s own, safe and cherished home.

    6. A litteral translation would be „own hearth, gold worth“. It could be translated (still a bit litteral) as „own home, gold worth“.

      I’ve seen that you’ve been given plenty of good translation help, OP. So I just wanted to say that the embroidery is beautiful and ask where you got it from, if you dont mind my asking.

      egen= own
      härd = hearth
      Guld = gold
      värd = worth

      [to have a] hearth [of one’s] own
      [has the] worth [of] gold.
