Austria is already expensive as hell, leaving the EU would make it much worse. And Hungary has a similar problem iirc.

      Austria – hard pass

      Poland – hard pass

Italy – hard pass or breaks into two

Hungary – Orban flies for his life to Moscow

    3. Nothing_Special_23 on

Yeah…. sorry to break it, but Hungary and Poland are too poor to leave the EU (no offense to anyone), they simply can not afford to leave even if they wanted to.

In rhetoric, EU is a union is a union of 27 equal member countries…. but in reality, it’s more of a three legged pedestal, one leg is Frnace, one leg is Germany, one leg is Italy, and the rest of the countries form the top. You remove one of the rest, the pedestal still functions, but you remove one of the legs and the pedestal falls…. or to put ot simply, without any of the three main member states, there is no EU. Without Italy, there is no EU, as simple as that.

That only leaves Austria, which is in a very centre in the EU, closely integrated with Germany, so again, no, minimal chances of that happening either.

    4. Nooo not Hungary, we love having them in the EU and block any progress what so ever

    5. Austria and Hungary are landlocked. In no scenario is it beneficial for them to leave the EU

How about the USA leaves planet Earth. I don’t care where, just fuck right off.

One thing we can thank Brexit for is it basically killed Euroscepticism as a political force. If even a very large net contributor the EU got this fucked by leaving, it’s just never gonna happen

Italy and Austria aren’t leaving, they got the euro and Schengen Area and all. Plus Italy was one of the first countries in the pre-EU agreements. They’re both at the heart of Europe.

    9. That would be good to stop promoting ideas of the orange crap. And even more when it’s helping the Russian dictator.

Doing Vlad’s work for him in the name of largely impotent nationalist movements that have no clue how to even comprehend the economic and regulatory benefits of the EU.

Brilliant. Having worked with EU regulations (admittedly over a decade ago) on pharmaceutical development and manufacturing at least, they are among the best written, clearest, and most modern in the world.

EC standards for product quality and manufacturing are similarly quite good for consumers and surprisingly simple for industry to follow. Very few loopholes and arcana like you’ll find in the US or even Japanese regulatory environments. Again though, this is just cGMP, not necessarily labor or other regulations.

    11. As an EU citizen, i guess it would be political better if hungary leave the EU. So some interest against russia get easier through Parlament

    12. PerspectiveNormal378 on

The EU will be better off without Hungary. There’s being opposed to deepening Brussel’s unilateral authority over national rights, and then there’s being a shill for Russian influence. Hungary is the latter.

    13. I get why he’s interfering with Poland and Hungary, as it’s next to Russia and they want their influence on it. What about Italy? What sneaky deal he has on the line for pushing them out of the EU?

I guess he also wants EU to be completely dismantled too. It’s interfering too much with his tech billionaire buddies.

it’s an obvious attempt to break Eastern Europe off of the continuous EU. I’m sure it was Trump’s idea

    15. Leaving the eu would be akin to suicide, and all of europe knows that

Russia and america are yellous of our higher standard of living

    16. skeleton949 on

I misread that the first time and thought countries were trying to persuade the US to leave the EU, and i was so confused

To cut off the Balkans from the EU for his master Putler and then he can easily cut off the Baltics as well.

Isn’t Poland one of the biggest beneficients of EU funds? I don’t know what Donaldinho is smoking but they aren’t going anywhere.

Not that the other ones are…

    19. Italy – they would go bankrupt without EU.

Poland – would hugely slow down their growth and investment from EU funds.

Austria – ton of companies in the eastern EU.

Hungary – idk? Their biggest export partner is Germany, so wanna see, they would also have hard time. But they would probably deepen their ties with Russia and China instead.

    20. InterestingFactor825 on

Poland, Italy and Austria have no chance of leaving. Hungary however can go and nobody will care.

    21. SarynScreams on

The „anti-woke“ countries; Poland won’t leave the EU no matter how much the government hates gays. Soviet oppression for Poland is a living memory and a horror they will never allow to return.

    22. How is this acceptable? Like.. do we just watch as us try and Split as apart and do.. nothing? How is this not a hostile act? Honestly if EU does nothing with this.. we deserve it

    23. Italy mentioned 🦅🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹rahhhhhhhhhh

    24. Open-Leadership-5548 on

Trump convincing Poland to leave the EU while also advocating for the US leaving NATO shows how ignorant he is of Polish history. The man knows nothing

    25. If they make Hungary leave the EU, they will do the rest of the EU a big favor.

    26. Imagine if the EU said they would support the disintegration of the US into independent countries. Septic would go apeshit. Yet they don’t mind when their Putin puppet President interferes.

    27. He is just stirring the pot. Gave a topic for the media to rattle on. Also he gave a upper hand for these countries within the EU to speak up. Now these countries can push EU a bit more. This is a pretty good tactic, considering that Poland and Italy is among the strongest EU economies. EU cant really risk it ignoring these countries, even though the EU establishment doesn`t like what they are doing.

    28. To be honest, I’m surprised that a Hungary led by Orban is still in. The guy is basically an extension of Putin.

He wont win. He fails at 3 quarters of the shit he tries in the US. To many checks and balances in the EU. We need to stay vigillant but he has failed so far. Thats why they constantly moan about the EU.

Austrian Here and an öxit would be the doom for us … we need the EU for trade and tourism.
