Nothing says ‘small government‘ like telling parents how many toys they’re allowed to buy. Culture war micromanagement policy. It’s control wrapped in outrage bait.

No way. That’s faaar downplaying what you’re getting.

The USSR at least attempted, succeeding or failing, depending on what baltics and part to at least provide a bare minimum standard of living.

You guys are getting all the oppression and purges, witth *none* of the few reedeming qualities like healthcare, education, or actual technological innovation beyond masturbation stories told by Altman and Elon of how cool it would have been if their rocket *didn’t* explode.

Americans make fun of and fear China, but now you’re welcoming all the bad shit about China, but don’t even at least get the free heatlhcare or infrastructure.

You’re not even the Confederacy. Your guys *wish* they could be on the level of a nation so weak, it barely lasted four years. Jerry Springer has a better claim of being your heritage than the Confederacy. And you *wish* you could be „as good“ as those guys.

Edit: As it stands, I’d say being *generous,* I’d compare it to end of the Ottomans, but that was still more graceful than what we’re seeing.

Still a lot of the same symptoms: Gross corruption, and the decision that *any* new societal or technological developments would be scary and bad, along with the idea you’ll somehow keep power by refusing to adapt to what your enemies are doing, but also want to assert direct domiance and expecting that for some reason the nations your trying to impose on, can’t or just won’t evolve their abilities in accordance to the risk, because it „wouldn’t be fair.“

What’s Trump‘s obsession with dolls anyway? Why is he so concerned about little white preteen dolls? Oh, wait…

After decades of republicans and their accusations of liberals‘ „War on Christmas“… we now have.. *this*.

    6. The real question is, what happens if you could normally buy one doll, not 30, and now you can’t afford any?

He’s like the evil version Jimmy Carter. Someone should get him a sweater.

    8. So, even when attacking the right the democrats can’t help but show how far right they are by using the left as an insult. I hope this goes to show everyone that America has two right-wing extremist parties and no amount of supporting either of them can result in real progress.

    9. It boggles my mind that Trump actually thinks that cutting back on fucking doll purchases somehow frees up the money for healthcare. It’s gobsmaking how out of touch he is.

I mean, I admittedly take issue with using socialism as a line of attack, but if it works, it works.

    11. USSR at least was a country that seemed interested in nation building.

The modern USA is just 3 Ponzi schemes in a trench coat. Almost no one in charge in this country believes in anything besides grifting for one more quarterly report.

    12. Carter’s sweater game was unbeatable—Soviets couldn’t touch that style.
