I hate that we are so tied to the US that we can’t simply abandon relationships with them. It’s clear that we can’t see them as an ally anymore.

Europe badly needs to get it’s act together. Even without Britain the EU has a massive economy, a huge population, loads of potential. It should be rivalling the US and China for global dominance. It needs to get over feeling guilty about history and start being a bit more aggressive again, because it’s actually the least evil of several bad options in this fucked up century.

Why don’t European countries try to convince some states to leave the US?
If true, this raises serious concerns about external interference in European sovereignty. Encouraging fragmentation weakens collective stability and trust, especially when the EU is already navigating economic and security pressures.

Hungary will certainly agree. As for Poland, it depends on who governs. The opposition Law and Justice party has already paid homage to the Americans. The ruling party is anti-Trump and pro-European. However, to stay in power, it must meet some of the right-wing demands (migration, border controls). If the EU pressures Poland with migration pacts or other unfavorable plans, Poland will simply quickly fall into the arms of the US.
Because it’s all working out so well here in the UK.
