In fairness will get people talking about them and probably 98fm or something will call in to see them. Probably left over from this year.

Sounds like they have an overstock they need to get rid of before Easter season.

is this not a JC only tradition? one year they ordered selection boxes one year, got Easter eggs by mistake and sold them anyway, they’ve just kept it going since

It’s mad how angry people are getting at this! JCs have been selling Easter eggs at Christmas for at least 20 years as far as I can remember.
Cadbury’s make a special batch of Easter eggs for them every year and there’s hardly a child in Swords who doesn’t get at least one of them at Christmas.
It’s a great tradition, and one of the things that made JCs unique for so long (that and giving the Rubberbandits the bags for their masks).

Time doesn’t matter, dates and times are just lies we all agreed to. This isn’t Saturday, or December, or even 2025. It’s *now,* because it’s always *now,* man.

With the shite Cadbury use in their chocolate now, these will be gone off by Easter!

I’m not sure from the 30 unique comments here but I’ve got a hunch this is JCs in Swords.

I remember buying 2 huge Easter eggs for €3 in JCs back about 8 years ago during the summer. They always had a lot of strange promotions lol

Second post I’ve seen of this carry on. I feel like the chocolate has all gotten worse but the shelf life is getting longer. It balances a logistical profit/loss equation on a spreadsheet somewhere in these mega corporations and part of that equation is getting them on the shelves earlier so the mooks buy more of them. Just watch Easter eggs slowly try to rebrand as Christmas eggs. Decency be damned.

It really does get earlier every year.
It’s JCs in Swords. I am totally not surprised. If there was one place in the country…
Jaysus! Do they have some sort of deal with Cadbury to be the first in the country every year for putting Easter eggs on their shelves?
Do they also have chocolate Christmas Bunnies?
That’s kind of brilliant though
To say Cadbury went down the shitter after the buyout is an understatement
Great advertising plan. Make someone mad online- get your business advertised for free.
JC’s supermarket have run this tradition for years.
They are sticking to tradition.
Those are just this years or last years eggs they have pulled back out from the store to hopefully get rid.
People eat a lot of chocolate at Christmas so worth attempting the angle I suppose
A post about Cadbury (something something palm oil) and easter eggs being too early? That’s like a full house on this sub.
I thought that elf cnt was extending out to Easter. I wouldn’t survive
Chocolates , chocolate
Halloween decorations will be up at easter there
Free viral advertising, they know what they’re doing, this thread is obvious proof it’s working for them.
