it’s a lose-lose situ imho. Ye, she’s open to foreign intervention, but who’s to say it won’t lead to an even bigger power vacuum? Seen it happen b4, not pretty.

Kind of a misleading rage bait title. She’s open to foreign pressure. All oppressed opposition movements in regimes known to massacre dissidents are. She also talked about Russian mercenaries stationed in Venezuela. Outside military pressure already exists in the country. There’s less likely to be a power vacuum is the democratically elected leader is president

  3. Maduro being a bad guy doesn’t give us the right to try and topple him.

If Trump is so set on regime change to remove a ‚bad guy‘ from power, he should immediately depose himself.

„The enemy of my enemy is my friend.“ That one tends to come back and bite you in the ass in the long run.

95% of Venezuela and folks who dont live there anymore but are from there want Maduro and his cronies out.

Literally has been the case for how many years? Is this news to you all? Anyone with half a brain knows this!

yeah she’s obviously on the higher moral ground now that she is a peace prize laureate

I don’t blame her for trying. What is the alternative? Sitting tight and waiting 10-30 years?

When you sup with the devil, use a very long spoon.

If she thinks that Trump would let her take over after Maduro is ousted, she would not win the Nobel Prize for thinking.

  9. Maduro is a prick but it’s the sudden vacuum when he goes that is the problem. It will be chaos and no guarantee a smooth transfer of power to anyone without a solid plan

  10. She wants to be installed as the new dictator so she can sell out her country to get rich. Pretty simple, it happened before.

  11. Nobel Peace Prize is all in for an unlawful invasion of her own country so she can take power for herself and her international criminal friends. Not too academic, peaceful or ethical if you ask me…

Too many parallels to Aung San Suu Kyi from Myanmar who also won a Nobel Peace Prize and turned into an authoritarian.

  13. Part of me believes that beyond the oil, Trump is still upset that a Venezuelan won the peace prize and this is his get back. “I’ll show you peace, a peace like you’ve never seen, peace so peaceful that you’ll be like wow”

Anyone against Maduro being forced out is just being anti trump without realizing some good can come from this. A broken clock can be right twice a day.

  15. You would think after the last 40 years that the average American would realize we are not the world’s policeman and that the elite warmongers starting these wars, and the folks in-country who are probably on their payrolls, are just in it to pillage others’ resources for billions.
