    1. Weird to count Cyprus as Europe but only the geographically European part of Turkey as Europe.

Kinda hilarious how in all these maps Turkey is a country surrounded in all sides by Europe while not being in Europe somehow

I’m honestly surprised that the Northeastern part of Greece has a majority of muslims. Is this really correct?

I’ve been playing so much EU5 so much that i was confused for a sec.. I thought I was in the game

    4. When you see „there are 60 million Muslims in Europe,“ remember that more than half of them live in these green parts and about 25 million in all grey parts combined.

    5. What’s that little part in Romania? Is it an area within Bucharest, perhaps?

    6. The map should also include the assumed Europe borders denoted. Otherwise it looks funny when only one corner of Azerbaijan has muslim majority.

Yet you constantly see Eastern European trolls saying Western Europe is being taken over by muslims.

What’s going on in Romania? Why is there just a random green dot in the middle of the country?

Greece is wrong. The Muslims of Western Thrace (Pomaks and Turks) constitute a majority only in a section of the Rhodope mountains, right on the border with Bulgaria. This region is called „Pomakohoria“, or the Pomak Villages. Muslims constitute a significant minority in the city of Komotini, and to a lesser extent Xanthi.

This map indicates that the entirety of Western Thrace has a Muslim majority, when in reality they are 28%.

I’m Romanian and can not identify that single green dot in the center if the country.

    11. I’m confused about the spot in Romania. To my knowledge most Muslims in Romania are in Dobrogea near the sea. That spot seems weirdly out of place

I love the fact that areas to the east of Russia and Turkey are included whereas Turkey’s Anatolian portion is not included in Europe.

The quality of data in this sub is rarely good.
