New Mexico is pulling itself out of that Bottom-5-in-everything ranking thanks to these oil and gas revenues, revenue from cannabis sales, tourism and a burgeoning film and TV industry…but also thanks to Oklahoma and Arkansas fucking up their statewide education systems.
