How about giving customers the ability to enable showing that tip to the drivers.
If the customers hide it by disabling such a feature, the drivers would at least know what they are dealing with.
>Rivals DoorDash Inc. and Uber Technologies Inc. jointly sued New York City to block requirements that the delivery tipping option be available at the time of checkout and set to at least 10%, which the companies worry could worsen sticker shock for inflation-weary consumers.
Remember when tips used to be optional and is for good service?
Making us tell customers how much they are being billed violates our right to deceptive and misleading practices. Strong legal argument.
If you cant afford to tip your driver you cant afford to have your food brought to your door like some little suburban lordling.
Let customers tip what they want AFTER the ride. Don’t force a tip before the ride.
Hooray for taxis.
Am I the only one who remembers the big selling point of Uber when it first came was no tips?
That was why many people preferred it to Taxis when it first launched, predictable pricing paid with a credit card and no tip.
What happened lol
I want tips shown up front as well, no more mystery „at least this amount“ offers that could be +$0.25 or +$25.00
As someone who constantly gets idiot delivery guys picking up the wrong order, or refusing to meet you anywhere near your door, this would be enough to stop me using their service. I’m not tipping these idiots literally anything.
I remember when tips were for exceptional service that was above and beyond.
This just makes me want the mandate to be even harsher on these companies
