Is this a kind of IR countermeasure for night time use? Would this kind of system work for ’normal‘ drones, was always curious if some kind of laser based or IR system could take out the drone’s optics (obviously without making the target easier to target)?
Could you just switch to manual exposure if you expect the attack to mitigate it? Or does it fuck with the sensor?

Amazing trick, and the drone starts losing height after the flash, maybe the fpv operator is blinded by the screen flash for a couple seconds in conjunction with the sensor overloading … interesting how many times it can be repeated before draining the battery
could be useful for a personnel dealing with an fpv drone. could be in the form of a staff, so like Gandalf, „you shall not pass“
