Hallo zusammen! Habe um 4 Uhr morgens ein Taxi bekommen, sieben Minuten Fahrt. 18 Euro. Kann mir jemand bestätigen, dass der Grundpreis 8:40 sein sollte? Das sind die Startkosten auf dem Zähler? Eine Person übrigens.

edit: Ich sage nicht, dass ich betrogen wurde. Ich frage mich wirklich, ob der Fahrpreis Sinn macht. Ich bin froh, dass es aufgrund der Antworten sinnvoll ist.

Base fare for that time is 5.40 and if you prebooked its an extra 3euro

Taxis just aren’t for the normal person anymore it seems.
Uber should be the same as other countries now where anyone can use it so people can get to places for a reasonable price.
Taxi drivers are going on as if they’re doing some kind of skilled job and should be making big money.
Bottom line is that anyone with a licence can drive a car. What are they doing that’s harder than a person in factory earning minimum wage?

If the €18 is too much there’s the option to walk the 5k or whatever?
The real question is how much you would expect to be paid if you are driving people at 4am.

Correct me if I’m wrong but 4am is unsociable and he’d need to be on €30 an hour before paying for car related expenses and he might only get 2 fares at that time so i think that fare might be what it’s worth? Please tell me I’m wrong I don’t know the business at that hour

I am 6km from my local town and it’s about the same a5 night so fair enough I think, also daytime for me is €13 which I think is good value as from the taxi leaving town, collection to drop off its probably half an hour so not exactly a high hourly rate. Just for perspective!
