Well, I’m not sure things are how I think they are, but:
Hungary – Russian asset in the EU. Obedient vassal with no hope for change in foreseeable future.
Austria – Russian opera loving nazis, protecting Raiffeisen bank’s adventures in Russia.
Italy – far-right misogynistic land, dependent on immigration, because their own native citizens move to other countries (Spain leads).
Poland – managed to vote politicians, who are trying their best to multiply the historical beef they have with Germany, easy to manipulate on “traditional values” part and too dangerous for Russia to be a part of EU
How did Germany not qualify though? At least East Germany?
P.S.: Funny fact – Russia got busted in their attempts to make Catalonia second Crimea.

The US NSS that’s currently available doesn’t mention Poland at all, and it’s dated November 2025.

It seems unlikely that they’d make such a drastically different NSS from what they released last month, unless NSS’s are a monthly report.

This has long been American strategy. The EU is powerful as a bloc and undermining it benefits America. Difference here is that they will take direct action and it’s high stakes as the EU could further integrate (such as an EU army).
