    1. I hope she can view this as an example of her taking good care of herself, despite the bullshit around this situation. She did the right thing for herself.

      >The ad, which read “We’re sorry we upset you, Carol,” is part of the marketing for the Apple TV+ series, but its phrasing caused her to think she was experiencing a psychotic episode.

      >The original post came from Reddit user Fun-Blueberry-2147, who explained that their sister has schizophrenia and has a history of psychotic episodes about once every two years.

Oh man that’s terrible. This really is a series of unfortunate events. I don’t know that I’d blame anyone in particular other than a refrigerator showing me goddamn motherfucking ads.

    3. Sounds like this has nothing to do with the fridge, and I’m glad she took care of herself.

My question is, why is a fridge showing ads?!

I’ve seen people questioning the truth of this. And that websites source is just the reddit post!

    5. So, people pay money for appliances that show them adds? And they are fine with that?

    6. Man now I so want to make a Reddit post and quote my source as a news article that I publish quoting the source is another news article which leads back to the original Reddit post to make it all circular and never having a true source

I wonder if Apple realized this ad would be on a fridge. It seems like companies would be hesitant to have their ads on a kitchen appliance for fear of being blamed for this latest dystopian incursion on our privacy. Apple should have realized that having this ad referencing the show’s plot—about a group of possible villains suddenly having total dominion over a woman’s life and environment—play against our will on our fridges was a little too clever.
