    1. Seems good on paper, but anyone familiar with Canadian politics will know that nothing will change. In theory most parties already have this, but the only ones who actually lose renomination have that orchestrated against them by the party, like Brad Trost or Kevin Yarde.

      And given how the overwhelming majority of people aren’t members of a political party, and thus don’t vote in nominations, there won’t be a great desire for change
